Ready and Waiting

Over the course of the last 2 years of owning the car, the plan was simple - BUY EVERYTHING I could in advance, build as much as I could OUTSIDE the car, so that when it was time to begin, I could swap everything in one fell swoop.

During the planning and Parts buying/choosing process, I simply used ‘Weak Points’, whether they were HP limits or RPM limits and the identification of such as an aid in each area. For instance, for my Shortblock, I made the Engine Block itself the known weak point and purchased everything to meet or exceed it’s capabilities, as I am using a standard Nissan 05U Block, which is known to have a theoretical limit of about 1,000 HP if built/tuned/done right. The other parts chosen are all capable of exceeding this limit, therefore, making the Engine Block the weakest point of the shortblock build. With this in mind, theoretically, had I chosen an N1 or 24U Engine Block for the build, the Standard Crankshaft that I am currently using would then become the so-called weak point of the Shortblock.

Basically, I set my sights on having the Shortblock and Cylinder Head to be able to safely achieve 950+HP and 9,500 RPM, making certain that each part that I chose had the strength/ability to achieve this threshold, although I will not run at these performance levels (as can be seen in my initial Turbo choice). I just wanted to be certain that the only thing standing in my way once everything was in the car, was a Turbine swap and a re-tune.

I still have a number of items to acquire, along with certain areas of my planning, in terms of parts, to re-visit such as the Fuel system…..which unfortunately is not up to par for what I would like to accomplish in the end. Time, Money and alot of both. Is it worth it ? DAMN RIGHT !
